Tori Hutchinson licensed behavior analyst

Tori Hutchinson, PhD, BCBA, LBA

Hi, I'm Tori! I’m a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Oxford, Mississippi.

I have a deep passion for helping people build meaningful lives. My work centers on empowering individuals to develop the skills and strategies they need to thrive — not just survive — in everyday life.

Grounded in behavior and learning theory, my approach also integrates evidence-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based strategies. I believe therapy should be a collaborative experience — one that helps you connect with your values, build independence, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

I work with individuals of all ages and have extensive experience supporting those navigating autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I’d be honored to help you create a space where growth is possible and wellbeing can flourish.

My journey began right here in Oxford, Mississippi where I started my academic path and now serve as an Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families across a wide range of settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, homes, and community environments.

At Kaizen Counseling, we believe growth happens through steady progress — small steps that build meaningful and lasting change.

how can I help?

Therapy Specialties

I work with individuals and families facing a range of common mental health and life challenges. Many of my clients come to therapy because they are experiencing:

ADHD Support & Executive Functioning

Many people struggle with focus, organization, planning, and follow‑through. I help clients develop practical skills and strategies that improve day‑to‑day functioning and confidence.

Autism & Neurodiversity

I work with people who identify as autistic or neurodiverse to develop communication skills, social strategies, and daily living tools that support independence and well‑being.

Anxiety & Stress

Anxiety often shows up as worry, tension, or difficulty managing stressful situations. Therapy can help you better understand patterns and build skills to respond more effectively.

Behavior & Skill Building

Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidence‑based behavioral techniques, I help clients increase strengths, improve self‑management, and build meaningful, real‑world skills.

Life Transitions

Major life changes—career shifts, relationship changes, relocation, or entering new stages of life—can create uncertainty and stress. Therapy provides a space to process these changes and develop clarity about what comes next.

Personal Growth & Self-Understanding

Many clients seek therapy not only during difficult periods, but also as a way to better understand themselves, their values, and their goals.
